Wheatland Elementary Named National ESEA Distinguished School!
The National Association of ESEA (The Elementary and Secondary Education Act) State Program Administrators (NAESPA) is pleased to announce that Wheatland Elementary School from USD 262 Valley Center Public Schools has been named a National ESEA Distinguished School by the Kansas Department of Education.
Wheatland is one of up to 100 schools throughout the country that is being nationally recognized for closing the achievement gap between student groups, as determined by each state in 2023. (Category 2)
Wheatland has been recognized in the second category, which highlights success in closing the achievement gap between student groups, as determined by each state.
